2nd Anniversary

So yesterday Branden and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary! Yay! Can you believe it's been that long! More mind boggling than that is that we have been together for a whole six years now. Wowza! It's been amazing, I tell you what!

For our anniversary, we decided to stay home in order to save money for the baby...it's not like we have kids right now to get away from, so staying at our house was like staying in a hotel...sort of! When we woke up, we decided to go out to breakfast. We went to good ol' Denny's in Salina. And might I say, breakfast was mighty delicious!

We then went home and gave each other our anniversary gifts. I made Branden an "All About You Basket"...an idea I stole off of pinterest (go figure)! Throughout the past week I have been making a list of reasons why I love him. Then I went and bought a few correlating items...For example, I bought him a really nice pen because he works so hard to provide for our family. I bought a game because we have fun sitting at home playing games together. Axe Body Spray because he always smells so good. Toothpaste because he has an amazing smile.  yada yada yada. But of course, as he "opened" his gift, he kept making smart-ass comments like "Oh so you think I smell bad and need to brush my teeth? I can take a hint." lol!

Branden bought me some gorgeous flowers (that smell amazing, I might add) and a straightener. (My straightener died last week and I had been using a teeny tiny travel size straightener that I had gotten for free with the purchase of my previous straightener....not very time efficient).

He's so sweet! :)

Afterwards we relaxed around the house for the afternoon. We probably watched like 5 episodes (each an hour long) of our new favorite TV show, Breaking Bad, courtesy of wonderful Netflix! :).

Since we had gone out for breakfast, we decided to stay in for dinner. Branden made steaks and kabobs on his grill and I made some pasta salad and mashed potatoes and gravy. We did a good job, if I do say so myself.

To end the night, we shared a romantic candle lit bath and then snuggled the evening away. It was a perfect day and I couldn't ask for a better husband. I love him so so much! :)
