Well, it's been a while since my last post...my bad! I have been pretty busy since getting home from The Cape.
First: I got the RN job I interviewed for at Stonehenge of Richfield!!! I have been really liking it! I work two 12-hour shifts each week (at least for now). The facility was built a year ago, so it is really clean and nice! What is great about this facility is that it is not a nursing home like I originally thought, it is basically a rehab center. It is where patients will go when they are not critical enough to be in the hospital anymore, but too critical to go home. At this facility there is nursing, physical therapy, and occupational therapy, so all the patient's needs are in one place. Most of the patients are there because they had a hip or knee replacement, heart surgery, or a stroke. I am still in the orientation stage of the job, but so far I really enjoy it! The pay isn't bad either ;)!

Second:Branden and I had our first anniversary together on August 14th. To celebrate, we went to Las Vegas! Woot woo!
We stayed in the Luxor, which is the pyramid hotel/casino on the strip. We stayed for two nights. We had so much fun together. We ate a lot of food, played keno, walked the strip, and spent some time in our room ;) The hotel was awesome, being a pyramid and all, but it was a PAIN to get to our room. There was only one set of elevators that went to our floor (the 20th floor) and our room was on the opposite side of the pyramid from the elevators. But hey, it was still cool. Here are some photos from the trip:

Anyway, that was our trip! We had a fabulous time. Wish we could have gotten a bigger variety of photos instead of head shots, but I didn't trust giving my camera to someone else to take pictures of us. So oh well.
Everything in between:Branden and I went for a four-wheeler ride up Elsinore canyon last week. We got on top of the mountain, about 3 miles away from home, and the four-wheeler broke down and wouldn't start. We had to push the four-wheeler down the mountain (we were able to coast for a lot of it...but there was at least a half of a mile of pushing.)

Look at those smiles. Little did we know that the four-wheeler was not going to start and we would have to push the ATV down the mountain. lol |

| Branden was yelling at me for taking pictures in this. This is right after it broke down. |
More outdoors: At the end of July, Branden and I took a ride up to Fish Lake and did some fishin! We caught 31 perch! It was amazing, I have never caught so many fish! It seemed like with every cast we caught one! We brought the fish home, spent FOREVER gutting/cleaning the fish and then we cooked about half. Pretty good!
Yup, so that is what has been going on this month. And so ends my summer break (well, I have a week and a half left, but I am guessing that time will be quite uneventful as the hunts are starting and I am not going to have a husband until they end :S) It has been such an eventful summer... and I think I'm ready for school to start!
Enjoy!
